There are plans for expansion of the airport, with passenger numbers expected to reach over 24 million per annum by 2030. The airport is owned and operated by BAA, which also owns and operates six other UK airports, and is itself owned by an international consortium led by the Spanish Ferrovial Group. Glasgow International Airport is a hub airport for Loganair, easyJet and Flyglobespan, and also houses maintenance facilities for British Airways. The other international airport branded as a Glasgow destination is Glasgow Prestwick Airport, situated 29 miles (46 km) from the city centre, serving mainly low cost airlines.
